
A high-level ministerial delegation from the Jubaland State Government has arrived in Kenya’s Lamu County to participate in the Lamu Cultural Festival, a key event aimed at deepening cooperation between Jubaland and Lamu.
The delegation received a warm and dignified welcome from Lamu’s leadership and local community, reflecting the strong relationship between the two sides. The reception was led by Lamu’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Aisha Miraj.
The Jubaland delegation includes:
Abdifatah Mohamed Mukhtar, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism
Ismail Garas, Minister of Health and Social Care
Abdiwahab Ahmed Osman, Minister of Public Works and Housing
Ibrahim Yusuf Abdi, Minister of Commerce and Industry
During their stay, the ministers will hold strategic meetings with Lamu officials focusing on tourism development, trade promotion, healthcare collaboration, and public works projects. These engagements aim to strengthen economic, social, and cultural ties between Jubaland and Lamu.
