In a sweeping military operation, Jubbaland security forces, in collaboration with the Somali National Army’s 43rd Division and the elite Danab commandos, have launched a coordinated offensive targeting terrorist strongholds in northern parts of Lower Juba region.
The operation, which is still ongoing, has focused on areas near the Jubba River and along the strategic highway connecting Kismayo and Jilib. According to military sources, several hideouts and bases used by extremist groups have been successfully dismantled.
Security officials report that the offensive aims to clear remaining pockets of terrorist presence and restore stability in the region. The joint forces have made significant progress and expect the operation to expand further in the coming days to ensure complete elimination of hostile elements.
This marks a renewed commitment by Jubaland authorities and their federal partners to secure vital territories and protect civilians from insurgent threats.
