The Jubbaland Minister of Livestock, Mohamed Nur Ali (Nuuraani), today welcomed a delegation from the Lower Jubba Women’s Union to his office, led by the Union Chairperson, Ms. Fadumo Adan Katela.
The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration between the Ministry and the Women’s Union, particularly in empowering women entrepreneurs involved in livestock-based trade and improving their vocational skills.
Minister Nuuraani commended the Union for its tireless efforts in advancing community development and economic empowerment. He pledged the Ministry’s full support in working closely with women-led initiatives to expand services and programs that benefit pastoral communities.
In turn, the Women’s Union praised the Minister’s visible commitment to promoting women’s participation in development. They expressed gratitude for the warm reception and the Ministry’s readiness to establish a long-term partnership, emphasizing the importance of integrating women into key development plans spearheaded by the Ministry.
