More than 7,000 families have been forcibly displaced from their homes in Belet Hawo following a violent assault by the forces allied to Somalia President Hassan SheikhMohamud.
The sudden attack has triggered a humanitarian crisis, leaving thousands in desperate need of immediate assistance.
The displaced families are facing critical shortages of essential resources, including clean drinking water, food supplies, safe shelter, and medical services.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the Jubbaland State has issued an urgent call to humanitarian organizations, The Federal Government and International partners, to respond swiftly and decisively to this escalating emergency. Without immediate intervention, the situation threatens to deteriorate further, putting countless lives at risk.
“The danger is growing by the day. A rapid response is not just necessary—it’s life-saving,” the Ministry emphasized.
