A book launch event was today held in Kismayo, Jubbaland state of Somalia. The book titled “You Are a Queen” was written by author Asha Sheikh Jama.
The book launch event was attended by officials from the Jubbaland Parliament, the Deputy Governor of Kismayo District, the Speaker of the Jubbaland traditional elders, academics among other dignitaries.
The author of the book, Asha Sheikh Jama, who gave a brief explanation of her book said that it is intended to inspire the Somali girls in understanding their power and value in the society.
The officials who graced the event have praised the tireless efforts spent by the author to write the inspirational book with spectacular creativity adding that the book was critically important for creating social awareness.
