Jubbaland forces have launched a massive attack on a terrorist position in Barjala village near Cag Libax in the lower jubba region.
Top officers leading the operation told the Radio Kismayo that high-ranking Al-Shabaab leaders including foreign fighters have sought refuge at Barjala from drone strikes conducted with the international support.
Despite the operation by the Jubbaland forces continuing, the rough and desolate terrain has hampered the crackdown on the terrorist group.
Intelligence information confirmed that one of the leaders was Mahad Karatay, a senior figure of the terrorist groups.
