Somalia Premier and US President discuss security, terrorism and reconstruction efforts at the sidelines of UN General Assembly in New York

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre had a critical meeting with the President of the United States, Joe Biden during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The meeting between the Somalia Prime Minister and the US President was focused on strengthening cooperation and strategic relations between Somalia and the United States.

Prime Minister Hamsa Bare thanked the United States government and its people for their continuous support to the Somali government and its people, particularly in the important areas of security, government reconstruction, and the fight against international terrorism.

Prime Minister Hamsa Bare and President Biden reaffirmed the independence, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia, acknowledging that it is important for the stability of the Horn of Africa region.
