Somali government urges youth to be part of the fight against Al-Shabaab

Many parts of Somalia have recently witnessed a massive engagement in the fight against the Al-Shabaab terror group, led by the Somali government forces and allied-local local militia.

The Somali government has now come out in public and urged the Somali youth to participate in the fight against the Al-Shabaab group.

The Minister for Youth and Sports of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Barre Mohamud said that the youth are required to be part of the uprising against the Al-Shabaab and defend their country from terror extremists.

He said many Arab countries have liberated themselves from terror shackles and extremism due to massive efforts from the youths and thus the Somali youth can be an asset in the war against terror in their own country of Somalia.

The government of Somalia has recently been making relentless efforts to speed up crackdown against Al-Shabaab terror group and liberating dozen areas from the Al-Shabaab grip.
