Somalia and Sudan discuss cooperation between the two countries

he President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a meeting with the Leader of the Supreme Council of Sudan, Abdifatah Abdirahman Al-Burhan at the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The Somali President shared with his Sudanese counterpart the efforts of the Federal Government of Somalia to stabilize and develop the country, especially the joint struggle of the Somali people and the army to liberate the country from terrorism.

The Somali President thanked the people and the Government of Sudan for their continuous support to the Somali people who share a long-standing relationship based on cooperation and brotherhood.

On his part, President Abdulfatah Al-Burhan praised the Federal Government of Somalia for the steps taken to build the government, saying that his country continues to support and ensure the unity, security and development of Somalia.

The two presidents exchanged information on the situation in the region and the existing challenges, while President Hassan Sheikh told his Sudanese counterpart that the government and the Somali people are working on the vision of Somalia and the world in agreement and give priority to the reduction of conflicts and stability.
