Six people, mostly children, have died from the diarrhoeal diseases that started on 25th August in Kismayo, Jubbaland state according to the head of the Health Awareness Department of the Jubbaland Ministry of Health, Isaaq Bashir.
In the last 48 hours, 34 people were admitted to hospitals in Kismayo for the disease.
The disease of the watery diarrhea in Kismayo has so far registered 318 cases in hospitals and medical facilities since it has begun, according to the Jubbaland Ministry of Health.
Diarrhoea is said to have started in the IDP camps in Kismayo where there are few toilets and its hygiene is not upto proper standards.
This has resulted in many children living in Jubbaland state IDP camps suffering from the water diarrhoea disease.
