‎President of Somaliland reshuffles government

The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, has replaced eight government officials, including two ministers, two deputy ministers, three heads of agencies and one ministerial director, while appointing 13 other officials.

The sacked officials include Minister of Planning Omar Ali Abdillahi, who has been replaced by Ahmed Aden Ahmed (Buuhane), and Minister of Agriculture Mohamed Haji Osman Jama, who Abdikadir Iman Warsame has replaced.

It also includes the chairman and deputy chairman of the National Insurance Agency, the deputy chairman of the National Quality Assurance Agency, and the Director-General of the Ministry of Transport & Roads Development.

“As you are aware, national responsibilities tend to rotate and be delegated to whoever can handle them, so I have decided that from today onwards, I will remove you from your previous positions. I thank you for your time in public office,” said a presidential decree.
