United Nations condemns attack on Aden Adde International Airport

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned yesterday’s deadly attacks on Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport.

“The United Nations fully supports the Government and people of Somalia in the fight against terrorism,” He said in a statement.

The UN Secretary-General extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack. Gutteres has called for the perpetrators of the attack to be brought to justice.

“The United Nations reaffirms its full support for the Government and people of Somalia in the fight against terrorism, and reaffirms its commitment to supporting peace and security in Somalia,” Said Antonio Gutteres.

Al-Shabaab terror group has claimed responsibility for yesterday’s attack on Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport, killing two people and wounding several others, police said.
