Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has received credentials from the newly appointed US Ambassador to Somalia, Larry André.
The new Ambassador shared with the President a message of congratulations from the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, thanking him for the warm welcome extended to him by the Government of Somalia and expressing his commitment to strengthening relations and cooperation based on mutual interests of the two governments.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo shared with the new Ambassador the progress made by the Federal Government of Somalia in the areas of security, military reconstruction, financial reform, anti-corruption and debt forgiveness.
The President and Ambassador discussed strengthening of Diplomatic relations between the two countries, in particular promoting economic cooperation, security, counter-terrorism, humanitarian issues and development.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo congratulated Ambassador Larry AndrĂ© on his appointment as US Ambassador to Somalia and shared the Federal Government of Somalia’s support for the fulfillment of its diplomatic mission.
