The chairman of Somali Civil Society Organizations, Tahliil Shaath said the leaders of the National Consultative Council have not yet implemented the agreement reached at the seven-day conference in Mogadishu.
In an interview with one of the Somali television stations, Shatax pointed out that the House of Representatives had not implemented the election agreement as required and that some seats were not in the polls and some of the poll delegates being controlled.
Shatax said they were optimistic that the council’s election recommendations would took effect in the eyes of the Union of Candidates, the International Community and civil society organizations, but that did not happen which proved right their skepticism in the NCC recommendations.
Speaking further, the Chairman of the Civil Society Organizations said that they have registered various incidents in the Parliamentary elections, and will issue reports proving the irregularities.
He called on the NCC leaders to implement the agreement reached on the election and to be completed by the time agreed upon.
