Somali President calls for an unconditional Cessation of Violence in Bossaso

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, said he is deeply saddened by the ongoing violence in Bossaso, which has resulted in the death, injury, destruction of property and displacement of innocent civilians.

The Somali President has called for an immediate end to the violence and finding a lasting solution to the conflict.

The President extended his condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the violence.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo commended the peace and dialogue efforts of Puntland’s traditional elders who have stood up to end this violence, in the interest of local stability and the interests of the people of Puntland regional state.
