The Ministry of Justice and Religious Affairs of the Jubbaland State of Somalia has called on the people of Kismayo, religious leaders, women’s organizations and civil society groups to come together and conduct rain prayer this coming Monday.
The Minister for Justice and Religious Affairs of Jubbaland state, Mohamed Yusuf Omar said that next Monday a massive rain prayer will be done at Kismayo’s Waamo sports stadium and called on the public to largely attend the rain-seeking event.
The minister called on the people of Kismayo to come together in large numbers to seeks Allah’s will for rain owing to the ravaging drought situation plaguing the Jubbaland state of Somalia.
The Minister’s statement comes at a time when some parts of Jubbaland regional state of Somalia is experiencing biting drought situation.
