The Jubbaland Ministry of Interior, Federalism and Reconciliation has conducted a two-day training for 50 women on ways they can participate and contribute in the formation of Jubbaland government and its governance.
The two-day training was attended by Jubbaland Deputy Minister for Interior and Reconciliation, Ali Careys and members of the Jubbaland Ministry of Interior.
The training was aimed at sensitizing Jubbaland women to participate and exercise their political rights and take a huge part in the formation of the local government.
Jubbaland Deputy Minister for Interior and Reconciliation, Ali Careys underscored the importance of women inclusion in government formations, saying that women are the backbone of the society.
He said the Jubbaland ministry of Interior and Reconciliation is working towards inclusion of women in government and teaching them on how to participate in the governance process and the particip
ation of various administrations in Jubbaland districts.
