Puntland State Minister for Security Abdirahman Galana chaired a meeting on security for the upcoming local government elections in Eyl, Ufeyn and Qardho districts.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Transitional Electoral Commission (TPEC) and the Puntland Minister for Interior.
The meeting was also attended by senior security officials including the Presidential Security Adviser, the Puntland Police Chief, the Puntland Defense Forces Commander, the Director of the Security Department, the Puntland Intelligence Agency and other high ranking security officials.
Agreements and decisions were reached to ensure the security of the forthcoming local government elections
