Galmudug regional state of Somalia President, Ahmed Kariye QorQor has last night met with traditional elders to discuss on how to deal with Ahlu Sunna militants that have taken control of Guriceel district.
The traditional elders said they would work on ways to find a solution and prevent further hostilities in Galmudug region.
The Galmudug administration has however said it will not accept an armed group to take over the towns and violate the agreement establishing the Galmudug administration.
Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama’a militias have taken control of Guriceel town from Government forces on Friday.
The Sufi militias who are known to be Al-Shabaab’s arch enemies also reportedly seized 3 vehicles, weapons from govt forces.
Tension still remain high in Galmudug administration areas, particularly in Guriceel district.
