Somali nationals among suspects arrested in drugs seizure in Saudi Arabia

Colonel Masfar Bin Qanam Al-Qurayni, a spokesman for the Saudi Border Patrol, said they had arrested 25 suspects who were trying to smuggle hashish and Khat into Saudi Arabia.

He added that the suspects were arrested in operations in the cities of Najran and Jizaan in southwestern Saudi Arabia, near the Yemeni border.

The suspects were said to have been seized with a total of 802 Kilo of Hashish and 25.4 Tons of Khat.

The spokesman said that out of the 25 suspects arrested, 3 were Saudi nationals, 2 Somalis, 14 Yemenis and 4 Ethiopians.

The suspects who were arrested following the incident will be arraigned in the Criminal Court.
