The Somali Capital, Mogadishu, is expected on Wednesday to host a high powered delegation to discuss several issues top being security and investment.
The conference will be attended by Somali government officials, representatives of the international community and international organizations and will assess the security situation in the country and the extent of investment in Somalia.
Somali Minister for Finance Abdirahman Duale Beyle said the conference was to assess the country’s security, investment funds and debt forgiveness.
He added that during the conference, all Somalis who have invested in Somalia will be identified which is a prelude to a report that will be released in 2024 after three years.
The Minister for Finance has participated in a meeting discussing the risks of money laundry and financing of the Al-Shabaab terror group, which has been opened by Somali Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed.
