The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble has sent his condolences message to the families and friends of the Somali military officers who were killed on the outskirts of Balanballe district in Galgadud region.

Speaking at a ceremony in Dhusamareb, Prime Minister Roble said the officers were serving their communities but had been killed by ruthless people who are opposed to progress.

Galmudug state officials and security agents have been ordered to immediately arrest the perpetrators of the killing of the 21st Division officers saying that the Somali government will assist them in apprehending the perpetrators of the heinous act.

The six slain officers were killed shortly after they left a police camp located in Guriceel in the central region of Galgadud.

The motive behind the officers killing is still shrouded in mystery with many of the locals claiming it was tribally motivated while the security say it was executed by the Al-Shabaab terror militants.
