A delegation comprising several members of the Jubaland Council of Ministers has visited Janaa Abdalle to assess the condition of the vital road linking Bula Gaduud and Janaa Abdalle.

The inspection comes after heavy rainfall affected parts of the area, raising concerns about the condition of the road, which was constructed through a community-led initiative approximately one year ago.

During the visit, the delegation conducted a detailed assessment of the road’s current status and reviewed the ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation works underway.

Following the inspection, officials agreed on the importance of continuing the road improvement efforts to ensure its durability, maintain transportation services, and facilitate the movement of people and goods between the two communities.

The visit underscored the Jubaland administration’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure and enhancing connectivity across the region, particularly in areas vulnerable to seasonal weather conditions.
Among those present during the inspection were the Minister of Public Works and Housing, the Minister of Security, the Minister of Water Resources, the Minister of Environment, the Minister of Women’s Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Labour and Employees, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, several Jubaland Members of Parliament, and senior government officials.
