
The Director General of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Jubaland, Badel Jama, accompanied by the Director of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, warmly welcomed a group of tourists from the United States and the United Kingdom upon their arrival in Kismayo for a tour aimed at exploring Jubaland’s breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, and historical attractions.
Following the official reception, the visitors were taken to the renowned Goobweyn tourist destination, where they witnessed the spectacular meeting point of the Jubba River and the Indian Ocean.
The tourists enjoyed the area’s unique natural scenery and experienced firsthand one of Jubaland’s most remarkable environmental landmarks.
The delegation also visited Koyaama Island, one of Jubaland’s most picturesque tourist sites, where they explored pristine beaches and admired the island’s rich natural beauty and tranquil surroundings.
During their stay in Kismayo, the tourists toured public landmarks, local markets, and historical sites, gaining valuable insight into the region’s history, culture, and the daily lives of local communities. The visits provided an opportunity for meaningful cultural exchange and a deeper appreciation of Jubaland’s unique identity.
The tour forms part of ongoing efforts by the Jubaland Government to promote the region’s tourism potential and highlight its diverse attractions, including its stunning coastline, rich cultural traditions, historical landmarks, and unrivaled natural beauty.
