Jubaland and Somali National Army Record Major Gains in Ongoing Security Operations

Forces from the Jubbaland State Government, in coordination with the Somali National Army (SNA), have achieved significant successes in ongoing military operations across parts of Lower Juba and Middle Juba regions over the past several days.

The operations were carried out in multiple locations in Lower Juba, including Qalley, Qalaawiley Qumbi, Weel‑Marow, Caano‑Booro, and Farshabeel, as well as in Guduudey, Bilisa, and Hargaysa‑Yareey in the Middle Juba region.

According to official sources, the joint forces killed 43 militants affiliated with extremist groups during the operations, while 27 others were wounded.

Those affected include both senior commanders and fighters. Security forces also seized a variety of weapons that were being used by the militants.

The operations remains ongoing and are reported to be progressing smoothly. Jubaland forces and the Somali National Army say they are intensifying efforts to strengthen security and restore stability in the targeted areas.

These operations are being carried out with the support of international partners, who are assisting Jubaland and federal forces in efforts to weaken and dismantle militant networks operating in the region.

Officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the campaign until lasting peace and security are achieved for communities in Lower and Middle Juba.
