Jubbaland State Darawiish forces, supported by the elite Danab Special Forces, carried out a coordinated pre‑dawn offensive today targeting the Qombi area, located approximately 30 kilometers from Jana Abdalle in Lower Jubba.
According to officials, the operation was executed following credible intelligence reports pinpointing the presence of extremist militants in the area. The joint forces engaged the fighters, conducted precision airstrikes, and dismantled improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that had been planted along key routes.
Security commanders confirmed that the militants suffered significant losses, and their hideouts were successfully destroyed. They added that the ongoing operations will continue with the aim of tightening security and neutralizing remaining threats in the region.
