The Jubbaland Military Training School in Kismayo today hosted a graduation ceremony for a specialized unit of the Jubbaland Darawiish forces trained in mine clearance. These troops have undergone intensive training on the outskirts of the city, focusing on countering and neutralizing landmines and explosive devices that pose a grave threat to civilians.
The program emphasized advanced techniques for detecting, disarming, and safely removing explosive hazards, ensuring the new unit is fully prepared to protect communities and secure vital areas.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, including the Jubbaland Minister of Security, the Commander of the Darawiish Forces, and the Chief Judge of the Jubbaland Military Court. Speakers praised the dedication and resilience of the graduating soldiers, highlighting the critical role they will play in strengthening security and safeguarding lives.
These newly trained forces are expected to take part in key security operations across the region, marking a significant step toward a safer and more stable Jubbaland State.
