In a warm gesture of hospitality and unity, the Speaker of the Jubbaland Parliament, Sheikh Abdi Mohamed Abdirahman, hosted a farewell dinner this evening at the Presidential Palace in honor of a distinguished delegation from the federal member states of Galmudug, Hirshabelle, and South West.
The delegation, which had been in Kismayo for a multi-day working conference, was composed of senior officials from ministries of Labor, Social Affairs, and Women’s Affairs, including Directors General, advisors, and members of Civil Service Commissions.
The event was attended by high-ranking Jubbaland officials, including the Deputy Speaker of the House, Members of Parliament, and Ministers from the Ministries of Health, Youth and Sports, Labor and Public Service, as well as members of the Jubbaland Civil Service Commission.
In his keynote address, the Speaker praised the delegation for their dedication and collaborative spirit, reaffirming Jubbaland’s commitment to supporting programs that enhance women’s participation in governance and development. He emphasized that women are the backbone of society and vital to shaping future generations.
The Speaker also underscored the importance of unity and cooperation among Somalia’s federal member states, noting that such partnerships are essential for improving public services and ensuring justice across the country.
