Jubaland State fetes the Graduation of Second Cohort of Elite Police Officers in Kismayo

The Jubaland government has successfully graduated the second cohort of its elite police force. Initially comprising 200 recruits, the training program concluded with 100 officers who will now join the Special Police Unit, becoming the backbone of security and law enforcement in Jubbaland State.

The rigorous training program, which spanned several months, focused on enhancing the skills, discipline and knowledge of the officers to ensure they are well-prepared to fulfill their national duties in safeguarding public safety and defending the state.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Danab Commandos base in Kismayo, attended by notable dignitaries including Deputy Minister of Internal Security of Jubbaland, Aadan Axmed Xaaji, Commander of the Jubbaland State Darawish Forces, General Ismaaciil Saxardiid, Acting Police Commander and Commander of the Lower Jubba Police Division, Colonel Sadik Mohamud Dhogor, Kismayo Airport Security Chief, Lieutenant Colonel Maxamed Xayi Axmed (Badar), Commander of the 5th Battalion, 16th Brigade of the Danab Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Caarif Hire Salaad and officials from the U.S. AFRICOM forces.

In their closing remarks, the leaders wished the newly graduated officers success, responsibility and dedication to their country and people.
