Gedo region Governor, Mohamed Hussein Al-Qaadi, accompanied by the deputy commander of the Jubaland State Darawish Forces in Gedo region, Colonel Ali Hassan, and the district commissioner of Balad-Xawo, Abdiaziz Hared Abdullahi have today took over approximately 60 soldiers who were formerly part of an army belonging to former Jubbaland state member of parliament Yussuf Mohamed Gurxan.
The soldiers have been trained and absorbed by the Jubbaland government to join the Darawish forces to fight the Al-Shabaab terror group and ensure peace and security in the Jubbaland state of Somalia
The soldiers will now be part of the Jubaland Darawish forces operating in Gedo Region of Somalia.
The Jubbaland Darawish commander said that the soldiers will have the same rights as the Jubaland Darawish forces throughout Jubbaland State.
