The Jubaland Police force in the Lower Juba region have today nabbed 76 kilos of hashish bags and apprehended 6 suspects in connection with the cannabis rolls.
The police have been lately conducting operations targeting hashish cannabis drugs that are brought to the shores of Kismayo sea from neighbouring countries.
The hashis drugs were brought in by two boats and were meant to be sneaked in illegally to the town for selling.
The spokesperman of the Lower Jubba Regional Police, Dhame Shukri Farah Duale, who spoke to the media after the seizure said that the police have on their radar monitoring them and caught them in the act of sneaking in the illegal substance.
He thanked the local people for the tip-off and urged for close collaboration with the security forces in such matters.
