The President of the Jubaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam has today attended the opening of the National Consultative Council conference of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), FGS Member States and the Governor of Banadir Region at Villa Somalia in Mogadishu.
The two-day conference will discuss the general situation in the country and the priorities of the Somali people, in particular the acceleration of cooperation between the various levels of the Federal Government and Member States.
Security issues, constitutional review, debt forgiveness and finalization of federalism and elections will also be put on focus during the conference.
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, chaired the meeting which was also attended by the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Presidents of the Federal Member States and the Governor of Benadir Region.
