A statement from the Arab League Parliamentary Assembly welcomed the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ruled Somalia in Kenya’s disputed territorial waters.
The communiqué also discussed the security situation and the electoral process in Somalia, stating that they stand by the Government of Somalia.
Lawmaker Mohamed Omar Dalha, one of the lawmakers who attended the conference, said the conference also focused on the government’s fight against Al-Shabaab terror group.
He added that the parliament of the League of Arab States has stated that they will assist the Somali government in the ongoing election process.
The parliament of the Arab states holds an annual meeting to discuss the situation in the Arab world, focusing on how to overcome the problems in the Arab world.
