Puntland state naval forces have seized a fishing vessel that was fishing illegally in Somali waters, according to Puntland military officials.
The Puntland state forces said they had seized the ship off the coast of Qandala in Puntland after learning that it was carrying out learning illegal fishing activities.
A senior Puntland naval official told the media that the ship had no legal status and had been handed over to the Puntland authorities.
The army brought the ship to the port of Bossaso where its being held.
