National Electoral Commission to be trained today ahead of big task

The federal government of Somalia plans to conduct training for the federal, state and dispute resolution commission members tasked to result in a successful electoral process.

The committee, which includes regional administrations and the federal government, will undergo a four-day training session beginning today which is expected to end on the 27th of this month.

This committee is tasked with preparing the selection of elders who will elect the next parliamentarians and resolving any disputes that may arise during the mandate.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble has invited the leaders of the National Consultative Assembly to a meeting in Mogadishu.

The conference will discuss developments in the electoral process since the May 27th agreement and the acceleration of the remaining tasks.

The conference is scheduled to take place on Saturday, and the conference will discuss how best to conduct the elections.
