China puts on notice G7 leaders

China has warned the leaders of the G7 economies that it is not the time for small groups to rule the world and that the move is abandoned.

“The days when small groups around the world make decisions are over,” said a spokesman for the Chinese embassy in London.

He added that decisions affecting the world should be consulted with the international community.

“I have always believed that no matter how big or small the world, poor or rich are all equal. Decisions in the world should be consulted by all countries.”

The statement from the Chinese embassy in London comes at a time when G7 leaders meeting in Britain have called for a united front on China’s growing influence.
