Jubaland regional state President Ahmed Mohamed Islam, has this morning officially returned to the port city of Kismayo, the Jubbaland state of Somalia after his trip at the last few days in the Somali capital, Mogadishu for the Somali national electoral consultative conference which finally culminated in an agreement.
The Jubbaland President has been holed up for the National Electoral Consultative Forum in Mogadishu where an agreement was reached on the upcoming election process.
Officials from the Jubbaland parliament and the general public welcomed the state President at Sayid Mohamed Abdille Hassan International Airport in Kismayo.
The plane carrying the president and his entourage touched down at the Sayyid Mohamed Abdille Hassan airport shortly after 10am, receiving ululations and dance from hundreds of Kismayo people.
