Embattled Somali president calls for an emergency meeting of Federal member state heads

The embattled President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, addressed a press conference in Mogadishu last night calling for Federal member states leaders for an emergency convention.

Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, who did not specify a date, called on regional administration leaders to convene immediately but did not specify the venue for the meeting.

“I call on those signatories to the September 17th Agreement for an emergency meeting, we need to come together to discuss the implementation of the agreement without any requirement of a condition whatsoever,” said President mohamed Abdullahi Farmjo.

This comes hot on the heels of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo’s rescinding on his presidential term extension.
