Outgoing Somali president accused of sabotaging Afisiyoni poll conference in Mogadishu

Former Galmudug regional state President Abdikarin Hussein Guled, who is also a presidential candidate in the Somali poll, has accused the outgoing Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo of sabotaging the hold Afisiyoni tent election conference.

He said it was unfortunate that the National Consultative Poll Conference at the Afisyoni tent had collapsed.

“It is a fact that the conference was highly anticipated by the Somali people and the international community, and its collapse will have far-reaching consequences for the country as a whole, and especially for its elections,” Abdikarim Guled said.

He added: “The consequences of the collapse of the conference and its responsibility will be fully on Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, who opposes free and fair elections and wants to continue to rule the country through looting and illegal means.”

The former Galmudug state president called on the Somali people to rise up and free their country form political interference and further collapse.

“We call on the Somali people to stand up and save their country from further destruction and failure, and for each and every one of us to feel the danger and the difficult situation that the country is going through.”
