The president of Jubbaland state Ahmed Mohamed Islam has fired the Interior Minister of the Jubbaland regional state, Abdirashid Hassan Abdinur (Janan).
A statement from the Jubbaland president’s office announced the dismissal of the security minister, but did not specify the reasons for the immediate dismissal.
Reports had emerged that the sacked Security Minister, Abdirashid Janan, had reached talks with the Somali Federal Government, prompting the Jubbaland president to fire him.
