Puntland becomes first destination for Coronavirus vaccine in Somalia

The Coronavirus vaccine is set to arrive next week in Garowe, the capital of Puntland and will be the first to be introduced across Somalia.

More than 300,000 vaccines will be delivered to Garowe next week, according to Puntland Ministry of Health Director General Abdirizak Hirsi Hassan.

The vaccine, currently available in Nairobi, is scheduled to arrive in Puntland on March 24-25, with Garowe being the first launch of the coronavirus vaccine.
