The Jubbaland Ministry of Women, Family Affairs and Human Rights, with the support of the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ), conducted a human rights training in Kismayo for the staff of the Ministry of Women and partner ministries.
The Jubbaland Minister for Women’s Affairs, Ms. Qamar Deek Khalif, who opened the workshop today, pointed out that the aim of the training workshop is to increase the knowledge of government officials related to the protection of human rights.
The Minister further urged the participants to apply what they have learned from the workshop on the protection of children’s rights in the Jubbaland regional State of Somalia and the whole nation of Somalia so as to safeguard the rights of everyone.
The four-day training workshop is part of the Jubbaland Women’s Ministry’s plans to improve human rights protection.
