The Special Forces of the Somali National Army (SNA), Danab have carried out a planned operation in Lower Shabelle region where members of Al-Shabaab were believed to be stationed.
The operation was carried out in Galhareri, Omar Bere, Magurto Balgure and Bullow areas of Lower Shabelle region.
Danab officials leading the operation told state media that two Al-Shabaab fundraising officers, Sidow Mayow Haji and Ishaq, were arrested during the operation.
DANAB Commandos have in recent days conducted various operations in areas and districts of Juba and Lower Shabelle regions and military officials said they will continue intensifying the operations against the extremist radical terror group.
