Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on Friday issued a letter to four presidents, namely Galmudug, HirShabelle, Jubbaland and Puntland reminding them that the deadline for nominating their two representatives had passed.
The appointment of the Federal and State Electoral Commissions was scheduled to be formed before 20th of October today.
The letter from the office of the Prime Minister of Somalia has set a deadline for the presidents to submit their representatives.
Regional administrations in Puntland, Jubbaland and others reportedly have concerns about Villa Somalia’s implementation of the Somali electoral agreement.
Jubbaland is also holding a debate on Gedo region seeking the withdrawal of government forces and fears that the election agreement will not be implemented.
