The setting up of the Kismayo Radio tower which was massively hit and blow away by the recent stormy winds being witnessed in major parts of the lower Jubba region is finally drawing to a close.
Technical engineers are currently working 24 hour clock on site to set up the Radio tower which transmits the Radio’s signals to covers the larger Kismayu and its environs.
Kismayo Radio Director Hassan Nur Mohamed, said the new tower will significantly change the station’s reach as well as transmitting to far-reaching areas unlike before.
“The most important thing is to have a quality and durable stuff for exceptional output. The engineers in charge of the Radio tower set up have confirmed that the Radio tower is far much better than the previous one and if maintained well would last a very long time.” Said Hassan Nur Mohamed.
The Radio station currently uses temporary Radio tower as it waits for the new, high-tech and topnotch Radio tower which is arguably a game changer in the Jubbaland state media landscape.
Radio Kismayo is headquartered in Kismayu district and commands a huge radio listeners ship. The Radio station also has branches in Afmadow district of Lower Juba and Bardhere districts of Gedo region.
