The Minister of Interior Security of the Jubbaland Government, Major General Yusuf Hussein Osman, today officially closed the Monthly Community, Justice, and Security Forum held in Kismayo, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to enhancing cooperation between government institutions and the public.
The forum served as an important platform for dialogue between members of the community and representatives of the justice and security sectors. Discussions focused on strengthening relations between state institutions and citizens, improving justice and security services, and reinforcing cooperation among all stakeholders.
The closing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Interior and Local Government of Jubbaland, Mohamed Ogle, Directors General from the Ministries of Justice and Interior Security, representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Chairperson of the Jubbaland Women’s Association, as well as members of various community groups.
Throughout the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of involving communities in justice and security matters and enhancing collaboration between government institutions and the public. The forum also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, experiences, and recommendations aimed at improving the delivery of justice and security services across Jubbaland.
Speaking at the event, officials highlighted that sustainable peace, security, and effective justice systems can only be achieved through strong partnerships between government agencies and local communities.
The monthly forum was jointly organized by the Jubbaland Ministries of Justice and Interior Security, in collaboration with Somalia’s Peacebuilding initiatives. It forms part of ongoing efforts to promote community participation, strengthen institutional cooperation, and enhance public trust in the justice and security sectors throughout Jubbaland.
The initiative reflects Jubbaland’s continued commitment to fostering inclusive governance and ensuring that citizens play an active role in shaping a safer, more secure, and just society.
