President of the Jubaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, held a high-level meeting with the Commander of Special Operations for the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), Major General Claude K. Tudor Jr., and accompanying officials to discuss ongoing security cooperation and counterterrorism operations.
The meeting focused on accelerating military operations aimed at liberating remaining terrorist-held areas in Jubaland and enhancing joint efforts to combat extremism and strengthen regional security.
Both sides underscored the importance of continued cooperation in the fight against terrorism, with discussions highlighting strategies to intensify operations and improve coordination between security partners.
President Ahmed Mohamed Islam was accompanied at the meeting by the Director of the Jubaland Intelligence and Security Agency (JISA), Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Sabriye.
The engagement reflects the strong partnership between Jubaland authorities and international allies in supporting peace, stability, and the ongoing campaign against terrorist groups in the region.
