The Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing of the Jubbaland State Government convened a general staff meeting bringing together engineers, departmental directors, and representatives from all ministerial units.
The meeting, chaired by the Director General of the Ministry, Abdshukri Carab, focused on information sharing, coordination, and accelerating the implementation of the Ministry’s core responsibilities. Its primary objective was to enhance operational efficiency while strengthening collaboration and alignment among the Ministry’s various departments.
During the session, Omar Hussein Jagadoon, Director of the Department of Planning, Policy and Monitoring, delivered a comprehensive performance briefing highlighting the Ministry’s recent achievements and outlining strategic priorities and work plans for the period ahead.
Key discussions also centered on strengthening and fast-tracking critical infrastructure projects, as well as safeguarding construction quality and safety standards across different levels.
Participants emphasized the importance of ensuring that all public buildings and infrastructure projects comply with established quality benchmarks and broader development goals.
The meeting reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to effective coordination, high professional standards, and sustainable infrastructure development that supports Jubbaland’s long-term growth and reconstruction efforts.
