The President of the Jubbaland State Government, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today signed two major policy frameworks aimed at accelerating economic growth and strengthening essential public services across the region.
The President signed the Jubbaland Tourism Policy, prepared by the Ministry of Information, Tourism, and Public Guidance. The policy seeks to advance the tourism sector by promoting the region’s natural attractions, historical sites, and cultural heritage. It aims to stimulate economic growth, create employment opportunities, and position Jubaland as a competitive tourism destination in the region.
In addition, the President also endorsed the Hospital Cost-Recovery Policy for Regional and District Health Facilities, submitted by the Jubbaland Ministry of Health and Social Care. This policy focuses on improving the quality and sustainability of healthcare services. It seeks to strengthen financial stability within public health institutions, ensuring they have the necessary resources to maintain essential services for communities across Jubaland.
Together, these two policies demonstrate the Jubbaland Government’s continued commitment to enhancing basic services, boosting economic resilience, and promoting the well-being of its people.
