
The Ministry of Women, Family Affairs, and Human Rights of the Jubbaland government has officially launched the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign today in Kismayo. The initiative aims to combat violence against women, children, and other vulnerable groups.
The event was attended by senior Jubbaland government officials led by Minister of Women, Family Affairs, and Human Rights, Hon. Adar Ismail Abdullaahi, alongside representatives from international and local organizations, women’s associations at regional and district levels, and diverse community stakeholders.
This year’s campaign runs under the global theme: “UNITE to End Violence Against All Women & Girls!”. It calls for collective action to safeguard the rights and safety of women and girls everywhere.
The Ministry reaffirmed its leadership and commitment to protecting, supporting, and empowering women, children, and vulnerable populations across Jubbaland regional state of Somalia.
